TaxCity is a social-entrepreneurship project launched by Manas Sood, a National Toycathon 2021 awardee, which includes a hybrid Card and Experiential Game that aims to take young adult players through that tax filing journey in real time. This pioneering endeavor aims to demystify the Indian Taxation system with gamification, making complex financial concepts accessible and engaging for high school students. TaxCity has been recognized by Ministry of Education for its efforts to enhance financial education in the country.

Manas Sood, a visionary in financial literacy and an emerging leader in finance from New Delhi, India, is the founder of TaxCity. As the winner of the National Toycathon 2021 and a passionate advocate for education, Manas created TaxCity to improve financial literacy across India using innovative methods like card games. His work has been recognized by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and the Ministry of Social Justice and Welfare. He is also preparing to file a Public Interest Litigation in the Delhi High Court to mandate financial education in schools nationwide.

Manas, a gold medalist and President of the Student Council at Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, is actively involved in academic societies, including the Quizzing Club, Economics Society, and History Society. A multifaceted individual, he is also an avid Lego builder, keyboardist, food critic, golfer, and chef. He has published a comprehensive research paper on the toy and gaming industry and interned at DMI Finance, one of India’s largest unsecured lenders. Additionally, he is a fellow at the Student Internet Governance Forum.

This Journey started in year 2021,when Government of India under the 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, Launched Toycathon-2021.

As a winner of National Toycathon 2021,Manas sood aims to educate young adults about financial literacy using unique method like card game, making complex financial concepts accessible and engaging for young adults.
